In modern industrial production, the great improvement of the service life and usability of moulds becomes a technical breakthrough for processing fields. At present, laser surface strengthening treatment provides a highly efficient method by green manufacturing. In order to improve the moulds’surface hardness, wear resistance, fatigue strength and corrosion resistance, follow-up processing with laser surface strengthening treatment is on an increase. At the same time, the improvement of moulds’performances for the subsequent processing brings the processing difficulty.For the high precision and automatic finishing processing on laser hardening surface of moulds, finishing technology with pressure grinding wheel with soft abrasive consolidation arises at the historic moment. On a basis of the research of pressure grinding wheel, this paper will make a further optimal research on structure, size and performance parameters of pressure grinding wheel, which is made overall consideration of molding and finishing efficiency.This paper mainly goes forward in the following several aspects:(1) It introduces the finishing processing technology of pressure grinding wheel and analyses the relationship between pressure grinding wheel’s stress and strain by establishing three element mechanical model of viscoelastic. After the research of pressure grinding wheel’s physical parameter, it can determine the structure and material selection and analyse the optimal scope of size parameters and performance parameters.(2) Used simulation analyses for contact force mechanics of pressure grinding wheel by the software-Ansys Workbench, which are in the aspects of contact deformation, stress distribution, contact force and removal efficiency, it can get parameter optimization of pressure grinding wheel by optimizing size parameters and performance parameters.(3) Based in the optimal design, molding preparation system for pressure grinding wheel is designed and a platform for the mould forming system is made, which shows the system’s reliability. By the system, it produces different parameters pressure grinding wheel for the following test.(4) The finishing processing of pressure grinding wheel is tested. By evaluating the effect through quality evaluation indexes, it accesses the finishing processing effect factors and evaluation reference compared with the simulation.The research results of this paper have certain significant guide and application for finishing processing of laser hardening moulds’ surface.
