In recent years, with the rapid expanding enrollment scale and developing the laboratory continuously, the continuous expansion of the laboratory enhance the risk of all types of accidents in the laboratory. Therefore, in order to improve the level of laboratory management, laboratory safety management should be strengthened. How to evaluate the risk of the laboratory is the core of the laboratory safety management.This study researches the characteristics of the university laboratories’safety management, analyzes the risk areas in laboratories. Select safety check list as university laboratory safety management risk analysis method for laboratory assessment, establish a comprehensive university laboratory safety management evaluation index system based on advanced experiences of laboratory safety management at home and abroad and relevant laws and regulations. Then use the analytic hierarchy process calculate the weight of all the index of the assessment system. The sorting weight of index provide managers with decision-making of how to allocate management resources effectively. And then, establish the model of the university laboratory safety management assessment system according to fuzzy comprehensive evaluation, this problem was quantitative through this method. Microsoft Excel was applied as a statistical analysis of the results of the data tool to simplify the amount of calculation work.At the end of this research, use the model to evaluate the situation of safety management of a certain environmental engineering laboratory in a university, in a conclusion, there are two parts of safety management problem in this laboratory, i.e. the one is a first level index "emergency and first aid" and the other is a second level index "standard operation procedure". And finally look forward to the future of the university laboratory safety management assessment research.
