Along with the rapid development of polymer machinery industryand polymer forming technology, the mixing kneading machine also getconsiderable development and dominated the more important position inthe material processing molding field. The different-speed mixer hasunique operation mechanism and kneading characteristics (the functionsuch as mixing materials, kneading, decentralization, transportation, cleanat an organic whole and continuous production operation) as a new typeof kneading conveying equipment. The machine can solve the program inthe mixing of high degree of adhesive materials very well.But, the different-speed mixer is not widely used so far,because manytheory research are not mature due to complex structure of the screw and the intricacy of fluid flow mechanism, changing situation of the materialin the flow field and how to choose proper manufacturing process andstructure of screw all depend on experiences. In order to improve themixing performance of the machine this paper use polymer materials asthe research object to study the rheology, morphology, performance of thematerial, with the help of the Fluent fluid analysis software, Fluidrheology theory and the numerical simulation method. Content as follows:1. On the basis of structure characteristics and work principle of themachine, Deducing the tooth shape curve equation of stirring shaft endface according to principles of the screw tooth shape design.2. To establish a mathematical model of the machine, analysisgeometry parameters of the machine in order to get the best combinationparameter of mixing efficiency and shear meshing ability.3. Use polymer materials as the research object, chose differentcenter distance of the stirring shaft, with the help of Fluent software toanalysis the flow field characteristics in order to validate the mixing properties of the machine.4. Describe the flow conditions in the flow field of the material,simulate and analyze the rheology rule in different conditions such asstress, strain and viscosity.5. The manufacturing process of the different-speed mixer areanalysed based on the summary of the theory analysis and researchconclusion such as weld and heat treatment for improving mixingintensity and extending its service life to get a high qualitydifferent-speed mixer.
