Since rubber processing came into being, temperature controlling is always beingthe most important part of the procedure. In the recent years, with the development ofthe economy, the market of goods made of rubber increase rapidly, just to cause afierce competiton. As a result, one, who gets advanced process, gets a corner on therubber market. So the research and design on the technology of temperaturecontrolling has been put onto reseacher’s desk.With less emission, the technology takes the place of temperature controllerheated by hot steam. This environment-friendly technique, compared with technologythat heats equipments directly, economizes a large amount of energy. Therefore, itmakes good sense.Although, since the end of last century when the circulation temperature controltechnology came into being, generations of workers have worked on it, an overalldesign theory has’t been worked out. During the paper’s writing time, author has donea lot of work, like documents reading, blueprint designing, manufacturing, installing,debugging and so on. As a result, a comprehensive design scheme takes shape finally.First of all, the paper puts forward some design calculation of important parts,which provides theoretical support for the next design process. Through selection ofheater, the main tank’s size is determined. By calculating discharge and power of thecirculating pump, the author has choosed the appropriate flow pump, just to identifythe connection of pipeline way.Secondly, through standard parts database of Autodesk Inventor, the authordesigns temperature controller in the thought of standard and steel-oriented theory. Meanwhile, considering greate deal of use of non-standard but common parts, adatabase on these parts is established for designers to refer to the computerprogramming language Visual Basic. This proposal, linking modular design concept,makes temperature controller designing and manufacturing become easier than before,and improves work effiency and design quality of designers to a larger extent.Again, this paper make an introduction to the core control of temperaturecontroller, including principle, choosing and introduction of electric parts, designing ofmain circuit, programming of PLC, manufacturing of man-machine interface and so on.What’s more, it points out the importance of the combination between mechnical andelectrical fields, which plays an important roll in both.Finally, based on the theory of FEM, this paper analyses flow field andtemperature field of water tank and the main tank, which provides designers a greatequantity of data on the distribution of temperature and flow speed of the mediacirculated. The analysis, as a result, can help designers choose a right position for thetemperature sensor. In the end, through the software of3Ds-max, the3D dynamicsimulation of the temperature controller improves the intuitive understanding of userson the working process of the temperature controllers.
