In pharmaceutical analysis, spectroscopy as classical qualitative, quantitative method has been widely used, especially in photochemical method. Compared with other methods, spectral analysis method has the advantages of convenient operation, high sensitivity, good accuracy and applicability. Spectroscopy technology has become the most important and basic research means in the pharmaceutical analysis field.1. Spectrophotometric Determination of Cefoperazone Sodium in InjectionA new spectrophotometric method was founded for the determination of cefoperazone sodium in injection. In weak acid medium, based on the reaction of Fe3+as the oxidizer and degradation product of cefoperazone sodium as the reducer, Dipyridine could react with Fe2+formed from the reaction between cefoperazone sodium with Fe3+to form complex. It has a maximum absorbance at520nm. The parameters of the experiment were investigated and optimized. The proposed method has been applied to the determination of cefoperazone sodium content in samples. The result obtained form proposed method in this paper has a good agreement with result obtained from the HPLC method. This method provided a feasible determination of cefoperazone sodium in injection. The proposed method could be used as an effective complement and control for the high-performance liquid chromatography method. It has certain innovation and not been reported in the current literature. It can be provided a new train of thought for the technical staff.2. In acid medium sulfosalicylic acid could react with Fe3+to form a complex which has the maximum absorbance at520nm. But the absorbance was decreased for the reduced concentration of Fe3+after the reaction of Fe3+as the oxidizer and degradation product of ceftazidime sodium as the reducer. The parameters of the experiment were investigated and optimized. The proposed method has been applied to the determination of cefoperazone sodium content in injection. The result obtained form this method proposed in this paper has a good agreement with result obtained from the HPLC method. This method provided a feasible determination of cefotaxime sodium in injection. It could be used as an effective complement and control for the high-performance liquid chromatography method. The determination of heavy metal in Chinese traditional herbs by ICP-AESAn ICP-AES method was proposed for the determination of heavy metal elements, As,Cd, Cu and Pb in Chinese traditional herbs. ICP-AES has good precision and high measurement sensitivity. It provides multi-element analysis. And the standard curve has a wide range of linear and it is easier to establish the analytical method with the computer technique. The herb sample was dealt with HNO3-H2O2. The analytes in the sample solution were then determined by ICP-AES at the optimized conditions. The experimental results show that the heavy metal content in four Chinese traditional medicines did not exceed the standard. low probability pollution of heavy metals in traditional Chinese medicine was confirmed. It also can be provided a new train of thought for the analysis of heavy metal.
