With the continuous development and progress of the microelectronics technology, itsapplication gradually infiltrates into all fields of socialist modernization. In all kinds ofblasting operations such as mining, water conservancy construction, tunnel excavation,buildings demolition and so on, more and more engineers tend to use digital detonators toreach the goal of millisecond blasting. Compared with the traditional detonators, digitaldetonators is able to achieve good blasting effect with the high precision of timing, and it hasa high application value.Aiming at the problems of power and volume in small volume digital detonators, thisthesis proposes a new design of digital electronic detonator. This system consists of twomodules which are power module and time-delay circuit module. At first the power moduleshould be designed. There usually exist some problems of service life and replacementdifficulties in traditional batteries, using the piezoelectric energy gathering device can be agood solution to these problem. The energy gathering circuit collects the electric energywhich is produced by the piezoelectric structure of cantilever when it begins to vibrate, andestimating the capacity through the experiment. Then the module of time-delay circuit shouldbe designed. This thesis mainly does research on the timing chip of LMC555andmicrocontroller of PIC10F200in order to get a circuit which has some advantages of smallsize, low energy consumption, high accuracy, low cost. This thesis designs anon-programmable timing circuit the core of which is LMC555, and at the same time designsa programmable timing circuit the core of which is PIC10F200. LMC555delay circuit andPI10F200delay circuit both do well in delay accuracy after the test of delay in the range andprecision. In the end, experiment of system’s power consumption shows that the digital detonators the energy of which supplied by the vibration of the piezoelectric material isavailable.
