First, this thesis used Pro/engineer software modeled the machine parts, then got the assembly drawing. And used Mech/pro software defined rigid body, add constraints, partially converted before the virtual prototype simulation. And then export the virtual prototype to ADAMS platform continue to add complex constraints and drive to complete and accurate virtual prototype model. Finally, conducted the kinematics and dynamics simulation analysis.The result and conclusion that this article obtains are as follows:1. Studied the Variable-section Beam Roll Forming Machine’s structure, properties and working principle;2. Innovative designed Cold roll forming machine roll gap adjusting structure, elaborated on the roll gap adjustment principle;3. Use PRO/E software for Variable-section Beam Roll Forming Machine for three-dimensional modeling and Assembly;4. Done kinematic simulation by using reverse velocity method for cold roll forming machine, got the displacement, velocity, acceleration for point of roll-casting,,and discussed the influence of turning radius on roller’s forming track;5. Dynamic simulation of the forming machine, compared the forming track with kinematic simulation, and got the torque and angular velocity of the driven part,discussed changes of forming strength effects on screw torque and power;Variable-section beam of cold roll forming technology in China is still in the initial stage, this article has provided the technical reference for the project in using the technology of variable-sections beam of cold roll forming and the equipment design.
