Pressure casting (referred to as die-casting) is a kind of special casting method which developed on the basis of common casting. Due to the continuous mass production of complex shaped, clearcut, and thin wall deep cavity precision casting, which fully shows the thin-walled, lightweight, precise and efficienct advantages of die-casting parts. It plays an important role in modern industrial production. The die-casting machine is an important factor to the quality of die casting products. This paper makes an analysis of XT280casting hydraulic system and designs the manifold of the system, which makes a foundation to future improvement.The first chapter introduces the background and significance of this subject and makes a simple introduction to the development of domestic and foreign die-casting machines. It also summarizes the deficiency of domestic, and making some suggestions to the development.The second chapter makes a brief introduce to the main component of XT280die-casting machine, introducing each part’s casting principle and function through the way of the images and words.Several most important parameters in die casting process are introduced here.Then, based on analysis of the movement principle of hydraulic system, it shows a comprehensive understanding of the hydraulic system die-casting process to us.The main work in chapter3is to design the hydraulic unit, injection and supercharging manifold blocks in2D and3D ways according to the principle of hydraulic system and the original reference parameters provided by the factory.The fourth chapter introduces the working principle of pressure-flow composite valve (p-q valve), and analying the static and dynamic performance of p-q valve by establishing its mathematical model.In chapter5, as time is one of the most important factors in the whole process of die casting, which affects the quality of die castings directly. In working process, the opening time of a cartridge valve determines the response time. Therefore, simulating the opening time with Simulink software by establishing a mathematical model of NG50cartridge valve, and then, establishes step response simulation block diagrams of quick shot and supercharging processes to get the response time of the processes.
