Organic flexible polydentate ligands with transition metal cations throughself-assembly to form coordination polymers possess variety structures and uniqueproperties, therefore using the flexible polydentate ligands to synthesize coordinationpolymers have an great significance.Nine coordination polymers were synthesized by using flexible ligands1,3,5-tris(triazol-1-ylmethyl)-2,4,6-trimethylbenzene(ttmb) and1,3,5-tris(triazol-1-ylmethyl)benzene(tmb) with transition metal cations Mn(Ⅱ)、Zn(Ⅱ)、 Co(Ⅱ)、 Cu(Ⅱ) namely,{[Mn(ttmb)2(NCS)2(H2O)]·1.5H2O}n(1),{[Mn(ttmb)2(H2O)2](PF62·5H2O}n(2),{[Mn(ttmb)(p-bdc)(H2O)2]·1.5H2O}n(3),{[Mn(ttmb)2(HSO3bdc)(H2O)3]}n(4),[Zn(ttmb)(btec)]n(5),{[Zn2(tmb)2(dca)4(H2O)]·H2O}n(6),{[Co2(ttmb)(1,3-bdc)2(H2O)2]·5.5H2O}n(7),{[Cu3(ttmb)2(cina)6(H2O)3]·3H2O}n(8),[Co(tmb)2(N32]n(9). The nine compounds havebeen characterized by element analysis, IR spectra and single crystal X-ray.Luminescence analysis spectroscopy of1、2、3、4、7、8and the thermal stability ofcompounds1、2、3and4were also studied.The ligand ttmb shows the cis,trans,trans-conformation and tmb shows thepropeller-conformation. The flexible ligands usually form one-dimensional chain,two-dimensional network and three-dimensional network structure of complexes, theflexible ligands may change itself conformation according to the geometric needs of thedifferent ions.
