With the development and expansion of fitness center market in recent years,bodybuilders are involved in health and fitness increasingly. As it is known to all,sports underwear is the self-restrained and self-attached garment, meanwhile, bodybuildingis the process which can bring massive heat and moisture, so the excessive heat andhumidity will make people feel uncomfortable and affect efficiency and strength during theexercise. Therefore, it is vital for the bodybuilders to select sports underwear. According tothe investigation on the market situation and market demand of sports underwear, it isknown that it has partial market while the market demand has broaden very quickly.However, the sports underwear in market has weak prospect of simplex fabric and ordinaryfunctions, which can not fully meet the consumers’ requirements and individual demandsas well as various options of products. Above all, it has important practical significance toput new fabric into the research on dynamic thermal-wet comfort properties of sportsunderwear, which has excellent hygroscopicity, good elasticity, comfortable feeling andanti-bacterial properties.This paper emphasizes on dynamic heat and moisture comfort properties and itsconnections with the fabric properties based on virtual instrument of NI Company in theUnited States, it builds the dynamic testing system of thermal-wet comfort and takes sportsunderwear made of new fabric as the object of this study. Firstly, it completes theverification for reliability and stability of testing system by building physical models in thebase of thermostat water bath. With the method of descriptive statistics to analyzetemperature and humidity values, it obtains the testing system is in good stability duringthe whole testing process. Secondly, through testing of dynamic thermal-wet comfort ofsports underwear which have the same fabric and different styles, it takes objectiveanalysis as the principal thing and regards subjective evaluation as the assistant, then it gets that relative best style of thermal-wet comfort by the method of K means clustering.Meanwhile, it gets the sports underwear made of new fabric based on pattern of this style.Thirdly, it completes the experiment of the dynamic heat and moisture comfortbility ofsports underwear made of new fabric and the establishment of detecting system. By themeans of dispersion analysis, it reveals that adaptable new fabric for sports underwear inthe several fabrics and styles selected. Finally, the physical properties of heat and moistureare tested and the gray theory is applied to establish the related models between physicalproperties and thermal-wet comfort, which can predict and analyse the heat and moisturecomfort properties of sports underwear.The research can provide the valuable testing and research methods forresearchers to study on the dynamic heat and moisture comfort properties. It not onlyprovides an effective reference for product development of the sports underwear made ofnew fabric, which plays an important role in promoting and expanding new fabricapplications, it also builds the bridge between the sports underwear and fabric and realizethe prediction betweem them, which can simplify the testing procedure and improve thework efficiency.
