Filter of miniprep column formed by the miniprep column, filter paper and end ringis a series product of a company. Filter of miniprep column are widely used in somebiomedicine experiments, but now the assembly process is mainly carried out by hand.Because of labor-intensive by manual assembly, and high error rate, it makes the filterof miniprep column assembly’s efficiency and relatively in low pass rate. With theacceleration transforming and industrial structure upgrading of enterprises, to achieveproduction and processing automation and construction automatic production line hasbecome the focus of attention.This study designed and researched with a biotechnology company’s design andmanufacturing project of "automatic filling machine of miniprep column, filter paperand end ring". Major researches included the following aspects:1. This paper analyzedmanual assembly process of the filter of miniprep column and the main technicalindicators of miniprep column, filter paper and end ring automated assembly systems todetermine the design objectives. It designed two assembling programs for this designinggoal, and selected linear assembling program by contrast in performance.2. This paperdesigned the detailed of assembly program for selecting, including the design ofconveyor, filter paper filled punching device, filter paper delivery devices, end ringfilled device, discharging device and the key components. It used UG software to modeparts of the system modeling and virtual assembly.3. After the establishment of a virtualassembly model, further analyzed and verified the simulation exercise on the filter paperinto the punch-filled program. In order to ensure the design of parts to meet therequirements on strength and stiffness, the Finite Element Analysis of motor shaft andsprocket have been carried out by UG/Nastran analysis software. The stress and strainof components under a certain load was obtained to ensure the reliability of the design.Finally, the system’s overall control framework was proposed, and a detailed on the partof the circuit was designed.
