With the rapid development of modern industrial technology, to have the upper hand in the increasingly competitive market, various new products should be brought forth so that the diverse needs of customers can be met, the market share can be captured quickly, the immediate market opportunities can be taken. To make a real market acceptance of product with the shortest time is the key to win in the competition. Aiming at shortening the product development cycle of the project, this article takes the development of the remote panel as an example and evaluate the method of shortening the product development cycle with modern computer technology.This article focuses on the use of modern computer technology to shorten the product development process. ATOS equipment and software are used to implement the3D model of Reverse Engineering product production. CAE techniques (such as plastic products mold flow analysis) are used for the post quality evaluation. The article takes example of the reverse engineering design and mold flow analysis of the the remote panel, elaborates the concrete steps and implementation measures of reverse engineering design, illustrates the finite element mesh generation with AMS software, CAE analysis and the process of optimal design, and summarizes the basic process of modeling design of plastic products based on the reverse Engineering. The whole design analysis can shorten effectively the development period from design to production and reduce the likelihood of quality problems in production.In the last part, by analyzing the model flow of remote control panel, the article focuses on the method of model flow analysis of plastic products. With the results of model analysis, it realizes the optimal design of pouring gate of the panel molds, model selection of plastic materials, achieving the aim of advanced product quality planning and the shortening of product development period. It summarizes the methods of the optimal design of plastic molding pouring gate and the choice of plastic materials base on moldflow analysis。This method has important reference value to the evaluation of the mold design of plastic products, and therefore has certain significance for popularization.
