The radial tire building machine is an important device for radialtires in China, molding process automation is important to ensure tirequality and quantity. Change the traditional lower-level installations andachieve “low-carbon economy,green manufacturing”process,it is need toresearch all aspects of the mechanism.Tread cutter device is an importantpart of the molding machine,it affects the mass distribution of tires,to fitthe strength,equipment cost,cost and so on.In order to improve tire automation production levels,in the pasttwenty years, many designers develop the cutting devices, currently thereare three application of thecutting devices: ultrasonic knife, circularknive and heat cutter.they have Different characteristics, the quality of ultrasonic cutting is the best, but it is the high cost and fragile; the qualityof circular knives cut is better,but its operation of space is big,theadjustment is inconvenient and easily damaged; the structure of heat cutteris simple, the quality of cutting is general, in cutting processrubber is easy to stick the knife.In present, it is lack of theoreticalresearch and experimental reports of the cutting device.In this thesis, we make the heat cutter as the research object, use thetemperature control method from mechanism research, through simulationvalidation of novel thermal cutting method is feasible.Through a numberof laboratory experiments and field experiment, the relevant researchdata, the main research and conclusions are as follows:(1) determine the effect of cutting quality and efficiency throughcutting the rubber performance analysis as the key factor for the cutterlocation and the interface temperature, determines the tread cuttingconditions--stress, temperature, cutting speed and cutting shape oncutting effect; (2) build cutting rubber mathematical model for force analysis,understand the process of cutting rubber material cutting resistance effectfactors;(3) investigate the thermal analysis simulation of cutting knife, drawthe knife transient temperature field distribution;(4) through to the compound model of cutter force analysis andthermal analysis, draw the corresponding design parameters, and a treadtype cutter device design;(5) the application of Pro/E software to the new cutter device for theentire device installation and adjustment process of the movementsimulation, we can clearly reproducing tread cutting process of cuttingadjustment, dynamic movement of the process;(6) on the tread rubber material cutting process by the fieldexperiment, the suitable tread cutting section temperature, experimentalresults show that: the cutting effect is the best when the adhesive/metalinterface temperature control at70to100℃; force analysis and thermal analysis verify the correctness and feasibility.This research has the positive role and significance in theindependent research and development of radial tire forming machinedesign of key parts to realize automatic cutting system which is reliable,energy saving, high efficiency, low cost in China.
