The study of supramolecular chemistry occupies a pivotal position in organic chemistry, owing to the function and use of self-assembly, molecular switches and molecular devices etc. which has played a huge role in the research and living. Supramolecular chemistry. calixarene, cyclodextrin. C60and other compounds as the subject and small molecule compounds as the object, was involved in the field of molecular assembly, molecular recognition, crystal engineering, and molecular devices. The development of molecular assembly, molecular recognition, and metal coordination is one of the key researches in supramolecular chemistry, so supramolecular derivatization became the basis for the study of the supramolecular chemistry. Calixpyrrole as a kind of calixarene, with a unique nitrogen parent structure, is research frontiers in the study of calixarene, however, because of its instability and low yield the research progress was slow. In addition, the Schiff bases with good coordination structure have been widely used in inorganic and organic chemistry. Calixpyrrole and derivatives were studied in this work, achieved some meaningful results.Beginning, containing a hydroxyl group calixpyrrole parent compound was synthesized by acetone or pentanone,4-hydroxyacetophenone or3-hydroxyacetophenone and pyrrole in the presence of the methanesulfonic acid. Then in the role of potassium carbonate and potassium iodide the parent compound reacted with1,3-bromochloropropane or1,4-bromochlorobutane in dry acetonitrile, to prepare calixpyrroles with halogenated hydrocarbons. Following by4-Hydroxybenzaldehyde or vanillin, containing aldehyde group calixpyrroles were obtained. Finally, under acid catalysis, the salicylidene hydrazide or pyridine hydrazide was added to the purified product in ethanol. generating the Schiff base derivatives with the coordination ability. meanwhile the products were characterized by intrared, nuclear magnetic resonance.In the role of potassium carbonate and potassium iodide, containing a hydroxyl group calixpyrrole parent compound reacted with methyl chloroacetate in acetone, then followed by bydrazine hydrate, ethylenediamine,1,3-propanediamine or1,6-hexamethylene diamine containing amino compounds were obtained. Finally, under acid catalysis, the salicylaldehyde or2-hydroxy-l-naphthaldehyde was added to the purified product in ethanol, generating the Schiff base derivatives with the coordination ability, meanwhile the products were characterized by infrared, nuclear magnetic resonance.As Calix pyrrole for a platform, derived to a series of derivatives containing the C=N double bond, these compounds depend on hydrogen bonds, electrostatic interactions, molecular forces, such as covalent bonding interaction to identify metal-ions.64Schiff base derivatives prepared to do the UV spectra of absorption, and make a study of some Schiff base with the ability to identify and have taken a basic research.result is that metal Ni2+have a good metal coordination ability.
