Study On Soft Capsule Of Radix Aucklandiae

Radix Aucklandiae’s soft capsule is mainly used to treat gastric mucosal injury andgastric ulcer.It is a health protecting food.This is composed of Olive Oil and RadixAucklandiae, which has the functions of digestion and reduce pain. It is used in the treatmentof chronic gastritis, gastrointestinal dysfunctionThis research applied for technology of modernized Chinese medicine.It is the first timethat extract essential oil with the CO2supercritical extraction technology from woody herbs,which contain effective ingredients with auxiliary protection of gastric mucosa injury. Theextracts mixed with Olive Oil, and then made into soft capsule. It was good news for themajority of the patients with gastric ulcer. In order to achieve the demands of themodernization of traditional Chinese medicine and clinical medicine, extraction process ofRadix Aucklandiae soft capsule and the quality standard were studied, so did Thepharmacological experiment and stability experiment.There are three parts in this paper.1. Study on extraction processDue to the volatile oil in the Radix Aucklandiae with auxiliary protection of gastricmucosal injury, using supercritical CO2extraction technology to extract costunolide anddehydrocostuslactone from Radix Aucklandiae.The method is simple in operation, comparedwith water extraction method of alcohol extract, and it has no solvent residue and has highextraction efficiency. So it can be more effective to solve the preparation process what iscomplicated and high cost and not suitable for application of the problem.For the optimum process conditions of Radix Aucklandiae supercritical CO2extraction,we plan to do the L9（3~4）orthogonal test. Therefore the optimal extraction conditions areextraction time of2.5hours, supercritical fluid CO2volume is10times of the medicinalpowder, the extraction pressure28MPa, extraction temperature45℃.2. Research on quality standardAccording to the2010edition of "Chinese Pharmacopoeia" requirements for the studyon the quality standard of Radix Aucklandiae soft capsule.Using high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) on the index components costunolide and dehydrocostuslactone of Radix Aucklandiae soft capsule for quantitativeanalysis and setting the quality standards. The results show that: Radix Aucklandiae softcapsule’s content was determined by high performance liquid with good reproducibility,high sensitivity, strong specificity.3．Pharmacology sectionIn order to verify the effect of the drug and side effects, we conducted thepharmacological experiment. The results show that Radix Aucklandiae soft capsule has abetter treatment of gastric mucosa injury, and no adverse reaction.
