With the continuous improvement of living standards, people pay more and more attentionto personal health problems, and gradually began to choose healthy foods and drinks. As anatural food beverage, walnut drink is more and more loved by the people, it would have broadmarket prospects. Walnut drink will have a good potential for development in the domesticbeverage consumer market. Based on the resources superiority and the status quo to bedeveloped of pecan in Changbai Mountain area, Fuai Biological Technology of Jilin ChangbaiMountain Co., Ltd decided to build a construction project with walnut drink annual output of50,000tons.In this paper, the content, meaning, work procedures, methods and principles ofenvironmental impact assessment for this project were discussed, while the basic situation andengineering analysis of this project were detailed introduced. On this basis, firstly, theenvironmental factors of the project were assessed and studied according to various evaluationtheory and standards. Secondly, it predicts and assesses the environmental impact for all stagesof the project through analysing the influencing factors. Thirdly, Combined with the actualsituation on the project, it proposes appropriate environmental protection measures and cleanproduction proposal. Finally, it provides the scientific basis about environmental impact for theproject construction according as the feasibility study. The environmental quality of this projectmet the required standards by the environment investigation. The process has achieved a higherlevel of clean production in this project, while various environmental indicators are up tostandard and environmental management requirements, such as water, gas, noise and solidwaste. The project achieved good benefits on the aspect of social, economic and environmental.
