| The shipping in the route of Dalian and Yantai is very frequently. There are about600million people and70million vehicles go through the route.There are a lot of ships in this route. About2000vehicles go back and forth.At the same time, the throughput of the ships increased steadily since the year of2000.In this years,the market of Roll-on ships in this route is larger than before.In this study,the tarket is to estimating the emission of Roll-on ships in the route of Dalian and Yantai. The route of Dalian and Yantai is89nautical miles, known as the "golden waterway", the real data shows that the Roll-on ship one-way transportation needs for about6hours. Due to the rapid development of the logistics of the Roll-on, the exhaust of Roll-on ships increased gradually,with the development of the logistics market of Roll-on ships,the trend of the exhaust pollutant emissions is growing,so it is so important to calculating the Roll-on ship exhaust emissions of this route. The main work of this paper is divided into four parts, the first part of the research carried out by the premise and foundation, that is, to fully understand the rules of the International Maritime Organization and other important agencies,and then the work are data collection and datacollation, these are the basis for this study;the second part is discussing the formula of the ship exhaust and analyze the advantages and disadvantages of each formula, and then find out the suitable formula to calculating the exhaust of ro-ro ships in this route. The third part is calculating nitrogen oxides,sulfur oxides and hydrocarbons of Roll-on ships in Dalian and Yantai route,and using EPA estimates method and fuel consumption estimation method to estimating these pollutants,and the emission of nitrogen oxides is the largest,the emission of hydrocarbons is the smallest.At the same time, the electric propulsion system can effectively reduce the ship exhaust emissions.
