The CNC on-line inspection technology is the key technology of the machiningcenter and plays a key role on the workpiece machining accuracy and automation of themachining center. With the development of manufacturing systems to automated,integrated and intelligent direction, on-line inspection technology will be very broadprospects.Flatness error and cylindrical error is the basic two position error inspection in theonline detection technology.First, this paper established the mathematical model of theassessment of the two errors, introduced the conventional methods of assessing for thesetwo errors and choosing the detection point.for evaluation of these two errors. In orderto improve the detection accuracy, this paper used Phyllotaxy theory in the arrangementof the detection points of inspection of flatness error and cylindricity error, andproposing a new arrangement of detection points. Then,this paper used Matlabsimulation to verify the effectiveness of the layout mode and enhance the detectionaccuracy.In order to achieve automated and intelligent CNC on-line inspection system. Thispaper also classify the detection manufacturing features, introducing the determinationof the probe parameters, the arrangement of detection points and the basic principles ofobstacle avoidance in each the detection manufacturing feature.Then simulatedannealing algorithm is applied to the path planning problem,so as to realize theautomatic planning of the workpiece inspection paths. And the feasibility of thedetection path planning method in this paper is verified by simulation.This paper proposed a detect path planning method and a new layout method ofdetection points of CNC on-line inspection. These techniques can shorten the detectiontime and improve the detection accuracy. Thereby increasing the productivity andequipment utilization, improving degree of automation and intelligence of the detectionprocessing.
