Evaluation Of Land Ecological Security Of Poyang Lake Ecological Economic Zone Based On The Emergy Analysis Theory

As the most essential source for our living, land is closely related to thedevelopment and survival of human, and is the most important natural resource. Withthe rapid development of industrialization and urbanization in our country, theutilization of land resources has met and even exceeded the district land’s eco-carryingcapacity, the contradiction land and population is becoming more and more serious andcritical. So the ecological security of land becomes an important part of national andregional security, and is the very frontier research issue to current sustainable land-use.However, the evaluation research on land ecological security is still at a grouping stage.This paper, taking the Poyang Lake Ecological Economic Zone as its research area,analyzes the general environment situation and social-economic environment. Based onprevious studies of safety evaluation of land and theory of emergy analysis, this paperestablishes the combination of the traditional indicators and emergy indicators of landecological security, builds four evaluation indexes system and determine the proportionof each index by using Analysis Hierarchy Process (AHP), and calculates each index’ssafety coefficient to get the comprehensive value ecological security of land resourcesunder a dimensionless model. Through the correlation analysis by using the collecteddata, there are three main conclusions as follows:(i) Safety value of this regional ecological security in2006-2010on the wholeshows a decreasing trend from relatively safe to critically safe, scores of ecologicalsafety descends from0.7031to0.6576, and both of natural resources and environmentare declining. Although the economic and social factors are arising ceaselessly to someextent, they can not offset the reaction of natural resources.(ii) In spatial scale, Safety value of this regional ecological security of the14countries (cities, districts) in2006-2010becoming better, which six of them changethe security level, four counties (cities, districts) rang from “critical safety” class III intoa "safer" level IV, two urban areas rang from "less safe" level II to the criticality safetylevel III. Compared to2006, the ecological environment security status of the17countries (cities, districts)appear different degrees of deterioration, of which ninecounties (cities, districts) security level changes.7counties (cities, districts) rang from"safer" Level IV to level III of “criticality safety”, two counties (cities, districts) rangfrom level III “criticality safety” to "less security" Level II. Overall, compared to the2006, the ecological environment security status of2010steadily deteriorated. (iii) In2010, the ecological security state of Poyang Lake Ecological EconomicZone can be divided into three levels: relatively safe, critically safe and less safe.Relatively safe countries include Fuliang, Leping, Ruichang, Wuning, Xingan,Wannian,Leping, Jinxian, Yongxiu, Guixi, Pengze, Dean. Xingzi, Xinyu, Fengcheng, Jiujiang,Poyang, Jingdezhen, Anyi, Duchang, Xinjian, Jiujiang City, Dongxiang, Hukou, Yugan,Fuzhou all are in critically safe. Less safe countries include Nanchang city, Gaoan,Yujiang, Zhangshu, Nanchang, Yingtan. In a word, we can see that in the Poyang LakeEcological Economic Zone,35.48%counties (city, area) in the " relatively safe" state,45.16%in the " critically safe " state,19.35%in the" less safe" state, have no " safe" or" unsafe " county (city, District).(iv)It can be found that high forest coverage, high diversity of land structure andlow land reclamation rate are the main driving forces of this regional ecological security,and low decreasing rate of cultivated land and low rate of investment in environmentpollution control as a share of GDP are the main limiting factors.Some relevant countermeasure and advice are put forward to improve the landecological security of Poyang Lake Ecological Economic Zone at last.
