In recent years, the iron and steel enterprises were reducing to use energy, raised the energy use efficiency, increased secondary energy sources recycling to make the work; At the same time, enhanced the management energy conservation, the structure energy conservation, the technical energy conservation work level. But from the statistical data, provided by the Steel and Iron Profession Association, along with steel the big steel mill ton steel energy consumption increase unceasingly. By far it is also backward in the international advanced level, some enterprises even are the several fold than the international average level. The total energy consumption quantity increase unceasingly. At present, most of China’s iron and steel enterprises still use the traditional mode of production of iron and steel production, per ton of steel production is higher than10%compared with foreign advanced technology, so the traditional energy production and management mode can’t already meet the demand of modern large-scale production of iron and steel enterprises, which is not conducive to China’s iron and steel enterprises to participate in international competition in the market, but do not meet the requirements of the national energy-saving emission reduction, sustainable development planning. This paper mainly through the introduction of Baosteel face outside the energy-saving emission reduction requirements and internal pressure to reduce costs, the initiative, established the energy management system of Baosteel characteristics, and has achieved energy management performance, at the same time as the domestic iron and steel enterprises in the first through the energy management system certification.
