Drawworks as the core equipment of offshore platform drilling module system, whetherit can be a safe and stable operation, related to the security of the entire drilling modulesystem. The existing drawworks driven by AC variable motor application on land rigs can notbe adapted to the requirements of offshore platform drilling module.This article focuses on the aspects of drawworks, such as the overall structure,components, design calculations, test running reports and so on. Draw on the predecessors alot of of research, on the basis of modern mathematics, computer, mechanics, structuralreliability knowledge through theoretical, analysis software, modeling andanalysis,engineering experiments and other means to carry out the design and analysis of the3000hp drawworks.First, the article analyze the similar3000hp drawworks, drawing on existing designexperience, combined with the industry standards and the requirements of the offshoreplatform drilling module, finalized transmission scheme and operating principle. Then, bylifting capacity calculation to determine the program can be implemented, through softwareand modeling analysis, mathematical calculations, and other means to calculate the importantparts of the drawworks. Introduce the overall structure and technical specification of theDrawworks. Finally, compile test specification, through functional experiment and recordeddata, provide a strong theoretical basis for the drawworks. The drawworks has been put intouse, the reaction to good effect.
