It is a hot field and research direction of power electronics issues to improve the conversion efficiency and power capacity of power electronic converter . To solve these issues, particularly to improve the conversion efficiency, a major research focus of international researchers is to replace the traditional two-stage structure inverter systems with single-stage structure with internal boost capacity. At present the single-stage inverters proposed are almost all four-quadrant converters obtained by output series combination of DC - DC converters. This article discusses in depth the new concepts and new methods to build four-quadrant converters with output parallel methold.Firstly this article analyzes the advantages and disadvantages of the common two-stage structure converters, then discusses the common topologies and their advantages and disadvantages of single-stage inverter, systematic researches the topologies of output parallel inverter in contrast to the output series inverter. The topologies of output parallel inverter are derived duality from the output series topologies. Secondly this article analyzes the construction principle and working mode without circulation of output parallel inverter, and focus on the output parallel dual-boost inverter and the output parallel dual-flyback inverter, including their working modes and control strategies. Finally, this article carries out the closed-loop simulation and designs the prototype of output parallel dual-boost inverter and discusses in detail the hardware and software design. The simulation and testing results has proved that the output power, efficiency, load regulation, harmonic content and other indicators of the dual-boost inverter prototype meet the design requirements.
