Data from many research and engineering projects indicts that the schematicdesign has visible impact on the building energy consumed in the whole life cycle.The research is aimed to combine parametric design and energy saving design, andestablish design method and implementation for energy-saving parametric design inschematic stage. To solve these problems, this thesis focuses on the establishment ofmethod and tool for energy saving parametric design. Consequently, this thesis aimsto cover these deficiencies.Firstly, the characteristics of parameter design, energy saving design and thedesign aided tools are surveyed in this thesis. The needs of energy saving tool in thisstage are discussed and the framework of “energy saving based parametric designtool” is built.Secondly, based on the programme of most energy-saving program generatorMEESG (Most Energy Effcience Scheme Generator), the day lighting system andatrium model is established, the multi-island gene algorithm is introduced to improvecomputing efficience, and the interactive gene algorithm theory is introduced toconsider the selection of schemes.Thirdly, based on the algorithm, the design aided software is developed as aninterface between designer and optimization progress, using QT language. And theresult data can be showed with3D model.Finally, the cases of optimization of shape, room are researched, to find the wayof considering energy saving in parameter design. And advises in this field arepromoted. The cases including: energy saving design guidelines for commercial andresidential building; a project of optimization of commercial buildings in Chengdu;optimization of an atrium scheme.The achievements are the impovement of building energy calculation model andoptimization althorithm, the software for building energy saving parameter design,and the case study in differet kinds of building、climate zone or design process.The results of this thesis may contribute in the application of energy-saving concept into the building’s parameter design in scheme stage.
