The Research Of Wuyi Mountain High-Speed Railway Station Design With Local Characteristics

High-speed railway stations have been structured all over the country as anational strategic construction project. As the local landmark of the nation, it musthave a unique personality different from other public constructions. However, in thelate20thcentury, especially in the past three decades, the rapid spread of modernarchitecture forms such as “international style” and “glass curtain” have made all thecities lose their characteristics. Therefore, the key points of this article are to reflectthe local characteristics, to explore the combination of regional architectural designand modern traffic constructions.The reflection of local natural factors, historical and cultural factors andtechnology factors is one of the basic properties of construction, it’s the mostimportant reflection of a local construction which is different from others.This paper firstly introduces an overview of high-speed railway station projectand basic situation of Wuyi Mountain area, including regional planning, urbanconcerns, specialties and some principles…etc. It introduces the naturalcharacteristics and cultural characteristics of Wuyi Mountain area, it provides factsand materials for the following chapters.Secondly, the paper expounds the effects of natural, cultural and technicalcharacteristics to the local constructions, mainly to analyze the design case ofhigh-speed railway station for the effects to the high-speed railway station. Althoughthree influencing factors are independently discussed, but in the actual process ofpractical project design, each factor intersects, effect and complements each other.Once more, analyze the impact of each factor, specific methodology and processfrom my practical project. Experience the design methodology of local constructionthrough practical cases and real problems.Finally, this paper discusses design problems and contradictions such aslarge-scale construction like high-speed railway station and regional special symbols.Architectural design is not only a science, but also is playing a role to reflect the local characteristics and to last local history and culture. Traditional design elementsshould be extracted, abstracted and applied to modern construction. Constructionswith local characteristics are no longer limited to the traditional architectural forms,but to use modern technology and to focus on people’s behaviors and senses to createnew local constructions to suit modern civilians.
