In the condition of shortage of energy in today’ world. sustainable development has been one of the main concepts of architectural design. Put the new building energy-saving design concepts into architectural design which can greatly reduce the energy consumption caused by the construction. Under the premise of the Western development. high altitudes of Tibet’s unique geographic and climatic conditions make the region’s construction industry is facing a severe test. Tibetan traditional architecture has its unique traditional forms of architecture in the region in the long process of development and accumulated building materials, construction methods and construction of a series of forms to adapt to the environment. Combined the survival way of traditional architecture. built a test building and doing series mathematical research. summed up for high altitude architectural design strategy is the main purpose of this thesis. suitable Architectural Design research in the region is in infancyHigh altitudes of Tibet is one of the most abundant solar energy resources of the country, solar in the area sustained long hours an can be used in an efficient way. The use of passive solar house heating technology to improve the interior thermal environment has a good prospects for development, but the traditional architecture of the region rarely take the form of solar energy resources in an efficient manner for effective use, many traditional Tibetan house interior thermal environment is not satisfactory. However, the traditional building material has demonstrated a good environmental adaptability. many traditional building materials with better insulation effect. and easily obtained, uaually their construction process is simple and relatively inexpensive, easy to be used by building materials. In this paper, based on a comprehensive analysis of the climatic characteristics at high altitudes of Tibet, the basic status of energy use and thermal performance of the building on the current situation, we analyzed the necessity of the use of passive solar houses of theregional heating technology, feasibility and significance, By studying Tibetan nonlabor human thermal interior heat source extends the appropriate evaluation methods. the actual results of the architectural design of the project, the computer simulation and analysis of field research conducted to explore, find Suitable ways of Architectural design of high altitudes of Tibet from different aspect. Asking the right references and suggestions for conducting building energy efficiency design in high altitudes.
