The Evolution Of Urban Spatial Structure In Urumqi And Its Driving Mechanism Research

This article use the theory of the urban space structure to analysis theevolution of Urumqi’s space structure, and the motive of the evolution, after this,sum up the regular pattern of the Urumqi’s space structure evolution, analyses thepresent city space structure, and recommended the latest master planning ofUrumqi, and give a judge of Urumqi’s space structure and evolution for future,give some propose and measure for the space structure’s optimization.This article measured for six parts. The first part is a introduction to introducedthe background and the meaning of the article, and basic concept of the spacestructure. For learning value, we can uncover the relation of the city shape changingand the economic、social and politics transition; For practice value, the understandingof the law of city space structure evolution can guide city developing moreconcentrate and effective, prevent traffic jam、city environment worse and shortsupply of city facilities happen.The second part introduced the research of the space structure achievementabout the nation and the foreign, and makes a path of the research. The foreignresearch of city space structure is tending the relationship of social lamination andcity space shape, although there is different in shape of the pattern of concentriccircles、fan-shaped and multi core, but there’s one common point that they both havecircle shapes. The domestic research is start from the relationship of city to region,tending to research city element in different period, the gathering and spreadinginfluence the city shape.The third part is the motive of the Urban space structure’s evolution, analysesthe factor to affected the evolution of space structure, included the economic factor,the political factor, the social factor and the natural factor. To China, politics is moreacted on city space structure, included economy policy、the central work of the partyand government、city planning guided、land policy、environment policy etc, but thesocial motive of city space structure is smaller.The forth part is the Urumqi’s space structure evolution. For Urumqi, it can bedivided two periods in250years from the establishment of city to now; the one isfrom the beginning of establishment city to minguo period, in this period the city wasalmost developing in scope of city wall, the shape of city change small. From theestablishment state to now, the city space shape changing big and more, there were many special city block beside the major city.The fifth part analyses the motives in different times. And in the evolution ofUrumqi’s space structure, that the transport factor, the economic factor, the big eventand the division into districts is the major part of this twenty years. In transit factor,Urumqi is a hub of communications in the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, andthis factor enhancing the central position and the driving in the Xinjiang UygurAutonomous Region. For economic factor, the developing of industrial Park is themajor motive and the expression of city space changing.The sixth part analyses the problem of the Urumqi’s space structure evolution,and give a proposal to optimize space structure. The last is a summary, pointed outthat only when enhance the legal status of the city plan, it can control the sprawl ofthe city.
