In recent years, natural disasters especially earthquakes take place frequently around the world. They did great harm to people’s lives, property and stuck the development of the city. The planning and construction of seismic refuge for evacuation, which is an important part in disaster prevention system, has great significance in it.Now, the planning and construction of seismic refuge for evacuation has started home and abroad. So is it in most big cities around China.However, theory system in Xinjiang is not perfect. The real construction can not fulfill the real need.The seismic refuge for evacuation in Urumqi is fall further behind the economic construction.In view of this situation, this paper mainly discusses the construction of seismic refuge for evacuation, space layout, case design of Urumqi.This paper first introduces the research content, the basic concepts involved and theory analysis. It summarizes the current domestic and international research on planning and design of evacuation seismic theory.Review the basic situation of Urumqi environment specific seismic evacuation space planning and layout of the urban area of Urumqi. Specific to the current characteristics of city disaster prevention system to put forward the construction of urban open space as the main earthquake evacuation space mode.Through the analysis of the existing Urumqi city public space and public green space distribution. This paper put forward a concrete plan for Urumqi city earthquake evacuation space.According to the real situation, this paper analysis the urgent need for seismic evacuation space function transformation of the people’s Square for specific installation deployment of exploration and proposed design analysis.Finally, this paper comes up with the idea of adding earthquake evacuation function space and proposes the design points in public open space in Urumqi. In order to provide useful help and reference to Urumqi and other cities.
