A new condition monitoring method named electrostatic monitoring technology for aircraft engineis discussed. This technology could monitor fault which is “hard to detect” for traditional monitoringmethods and provide real time information of component deterioration within the aero-engines. It iscapable to produce early warning of incipient fault and support engine condition state estimation andremaining life prediction. This paper is based on the basis of previous research.The electrostaticmonitoring experiment is did with Friction and wear parts, Lubrication system, Gas path particles ofaircraft engine. In order to realize the signal acquisition and processing, set out to design acomprehensive static monitoring system.Because the new approach of electrostatic monitoring Appearsconstantly, this subject adopts the virtual instrument technology to build flexible electrostaticmonitoring system. This system is effective and reliable by experiment at last. The main contents arelist below:(1)The mechanism of electrostaticabout Friction and wear parts, Lubrication system, Gas pathparticles.The electrostatic induction model is Established and the principle of electrostatic monitoring isdiscussed base on the concept of a point charge. An exploratory experiment is carried out to analysisthe electrostatic signal so that find some characteristic signal of fault. The vibration monitoring test isused to assist electrostatic research.(2)A set of perfect electrostatic monitoring system is designed base on virtual instrumenttechnology. In the hardware system parts,a dust emission/concentration on-line tester is used tocooperate with the pneumatic electrostatic’monitoring. To meet the requirement of high precision, theacquisition card WLS-9234is selected. In the software system parts,the access protection, signalon-line analysis,database management and remote control is realized as expectations.(3)The electrostatic monitoring system applied in the full life test of slippery course wear provesthe system has characteristics of good scalability, complete functions, good interaction and easy to use,provided an effective means for line monitoring and fault diagnosis and a basis for the further staticmonitoring of onboard engine.
