The sensor system is located in the forefront of the health monitoring system, whichhas an important impact in the accuracy and validity of the data acquisition. Dataacquisition and transmission system is responsible for sensor signal acquisition andtransmission, which is connected to the sensor system and data treatment and control system.The reasonable selection and arrangement of sensor system and the data acquisition andtransmission system, Directly determines Whether the results of health monitoring areaccurate, reliable, effective and practical.This paper through to research the sensors, data acquisition and transmission systemof bridge health monitoring system, based on virtual instrument technology is put forward adistributed data acquisition and transmission system design method for bridge healthmonitoring.(1)Analysis the difference between virtual instrument and traditional instrument, Fromthe concept of virtual instrument, software and hardware composition as well as thedevelopment platform LabVIEW several aspects virtual instrument technology areintroduced, And combining virtual instrument technology and the engineering application,develop small and medium-sized Bridges operation phase of the safety early warningsystem, the load test data acquisition system, the construction monitoring data acquisitionsystem based on virtual instrument.(2)Research the health monitoring sensor system design principles and the selection oflayout, then propose the selection method and the layout method of each type of sensor.(3)Research the acquisition and transmission system design principles and hardwareselection design, then propose the selection scheme of distributed data acquisition andtransmission system based on virtual instrument,Research the two kinds of synchronizationmethod based on signal and based on time, then propose the synchronization scheme ofdistributed data acquisition based on the GPS clock, Research the functions andrequirements of transmission system, determine the transport protocol, and the transmission system scheme based on double loop fiber optic network.(4)Develop the software of data acquisition and transmission for bridge healthmonitoring system base on LabVIEW, including software overall structure, function andstructure design and data collection, transmission, storage, three molecular moduledevelopment.(5)With a cable-stayed bridge as an example, combining with the above proposedprinciples and methods to design the sensor system and data acquisition and transmissionsystem, then propose the suitable for cable-stayed bridge health monitoring sensor of thetechnical scheme of data acquisition and transmission system.
