Energy-saving in building industry has become a crucial issue for sustainabledevelopment in China. Particularly, residential building sector deserves more attentionbecause it occupies more than60%of total building floor area. In market economycircumstance, economic aspect is a key factor to apply eneregy sadving measures to residential buildings. Therefore, it is essential to carry out techno-economic assessmentof the building energy-saving technologies. Therefore, it is essential to carry out techno-economic assessment of the buildingenergy-saving technologies. In this regard, lots of effort has been input both in Chinaand abroad. However, a few quantitative studies which address the cost feasibility ofsolar buildings using the LCA and systematic analysis methods are available inliteratures. The main purpose of this study is to establish an analytical approach includingmathematical model and its corresponding algorithm for techno-economic assessmentof energy saving tecUhnolognies aRppliede in soglar biuisldintgs(eThre text of the solar buildingrefers to only solar-thermal integration building). The analysis results will be usefulfor optimizing the energy-saving design schemes. Recommendations for energy-savingpolicies are further proposed based on a case study. The details include:1.Review of basic theories including life cycle assessment theory, technologyeconomic assessment theory and feasibility study theory.2. Building of solar energy in the life cycle of economic evaluation, nationaleconomic evaluation analysis of the comprehensive benefit of bring solar building;3. Choose as a case analysis of the model in NingXia, the theoretical research.4. Based on the results of the case study and analysis from the view of real worldapplication and energy cost, further recommendations for solar building energy-savingpolicy are proposed.
