In recent years, under the action of a variety of natural factors and heavy trafficloads, the early damage phenomenon of asphalt pavements of our country highway isvery common. This paper focused on the decay law of the key indicators in the initialoperation period of the asphalt pavement.Firstly, this paper selected the critical evaluations. Through the survey and analysisof the key performance indicators during the initial operation period of asphaltpavement, the principles of determining the critical evaluation index during the earlyoperation period was put forward, further more, those critical evaluations indexs wasselected.Secondly, on the basis of climate zones, the decay law of the critical evaluationindexs was studied during the initial operation period of the7highways of Shaanxiprovince, and then, the critical evaluation index has been tested by SPSS statisticssoftware for normality testing, the decay law of completion period has also been studiedby paired samples T-test and description statistical. Then, the mean values of decayamplitude and the distribution range of these decay values of the critical evaluationindex was proposed about different climate zones of Shaanxi province in the initialoperation period.Thirdiy, through the study of the evaluation and classification criteria of the keyindicators of the current asphalt pavement specifications, the decay evaluation index andgrading standard of the critical evaluation index on the initial operation period wasproposed on the basis of the climate zones, further more, the new evaluation criteriawhich includes the decay effect of those key index was determined.Finally, on the basis of the study of the mean values of critical evaluation indexesdecay amplitudes and the evaluation criteria of different climate zones, the design values and the decay amplitude mean were correlated, this paper recommended thecompletion-acceptance values of those critical evaluation index basing on differentclimate zones.The results of this paper benefited to standardize the evaluation of highway on theinitial operation period and the successful implementation of the final acceptance. thispaper also provided the technology support for the acceptance of the completion ofhighway in Shaanxi province, and helped reduce early stage disease, in order to savemaintenance costs.
