Recently, under the action of a variety of natural factors and heavy traffic loads,performance of asphalt pavement fall sharply and the early damage phenomena of asphaltpavement of our country expressways are very common. Due to early operation performanceof asphalt pavement decay fast and large, the driving comfort and safety is influencedseriously, and the operation cost increases, also social and economic development slows.Based on this kind of situation, this paper research decay rule and evaluation standard of keyindicators of asphalt pavement early operation, to provide technical support for completioninspection and acceptance of the national expressway.Firstly, through analyzing functions change of asphalt pavement in early operation,evaluation system of indicators for pavement performance and long-term use of pavementperformance, key indicators of initial operation of asphalt pavement are determined,and itconclude deflection, flatness, sliding, rutting and crack.Secondly, on the basis of climate zones, the decay laws of the critical evaluation indexeswere studied during the initial operation period of the14national expressways and theallowable ranges of the key indicators was get.Thirdly, using SPSS statistical software to do regression analysis for key indicators,prediction model of key indicators’ decay was established.Finally, on the basis of the study of key indexes’ decay amplitude and the evaluationcriteria of different climate zones, the design values and the decay amplitude mean werecorrelated, this program recommended the completion-acceptance values of those criticalevaluation index basing on different climate zones.The results of this program benefited to standardize the evaluation of expressway on theinitial operation period and the successful implementation of the final acceptance. This paperalso provided the technology support for the acceptance of the completion of expressway inwhole country,and provide maintenance policy with theoretical basis, and reduce early stagedisease, and save maintenance costs.
