Landscape Art In The River System Project Of Kaifeng

Kaifeng is located in the middle of the Yudong Plain.It has plentiful waterresources.and has been named the Watertown in the North since ancient times.Kaifengbegan to build the River System Project at2002to improve the image of the city,theecological environment and develop the tourism economy. Culture in Song Dynasty isthe theme of the project.Qingmingshanghetu is it’s original version.Garden is it’sform.And it offer a chance to reappear the ancient watercity style.Now the second stageof the project has been completed,and the third stage is building. The theoretical studieson it is just starting,and many of them are very simple. The second stage of the projectis the object of the paper study. And the paper analysis Chinese classical gardenselements and the relation amang them from the garden design point of view to explorethe revelation of it to the modern garden.The paper includes four parts.The first part is the outline about the River SystemProject which contains the building status quo and historical origins from the history ofthe development about capital and garden of point of view.The second part analyzesgarden pathes,buildings,rockeries and flows and plants form function and aesthetics.Atthe same time it also studies how use these classical elements in the project.The purposeis to find how to make the garden more aesthetic.The third part researches thecharacteristices about region,culture,history and ecology.It investigates how to unify thedifferent functions of history,flow culture and humanities to protect the environmentand render the cultural atmosphere by studying the Song Dynasty culture in the RiverSystem Project. The purpose is to find how to promote the utilization rate of land. Thethird part is the reflection about the Status quo of the River System Project.It analyzesthe practical significance from the mage of the city, the ecological environment,theurban traffic and the city’s function zoning.At last it summarizes the shortages and thedevelopment in the future.The paper analyze the rich connotation in the project and Chinese classical gardensby modern aesthetics to direct modern garden design,and find how to build garden tosatisfy the need of visiting,living,resting and entertainment for people in city.
