A Study On Lin’an Garden Activity And Its Influence In Southern Song Dynasty

As an important period of art and typicalization of Chinese gardens,the Southern Song Dynasty became a climax in the history of garden development,and also staged a variety of garden activities in the gardens of the Southern Song Dynasty.Garden is a multi-level and multi-faceted historical phenomenon.First of all,"human" as the main body of garden,garden is the carrier of human activities.The carrier creates layout according to the main activities.The main activities have a subtle and increasingly profound impact on the carrier.Therefore,the garden activities in the Southern Song Dynasty are bound to have an important impact on the urban pattern and garden construction.In order to explore the appearance of Lin’an garden in the Southern Song Dynasty,this paper chooses to start from exploring the contents of garden activities in the Southern Song Dynasty.Based on the collection of notes,poems,paintings and other materials of the Southern Song Dynasty and its descendants,this paper first classifies the garden activities in Lin’an of the Southern Song Dynasty,and links the garden activities with specific garden locations,so as to explore the mutual influence between the garden activities and the gardens in the Southern Song Dynasty.This paper is divided into the following five parts:The first part explores the reasons for the prosperity of Lin’an gardens in the Southern Song Dynasty and the distribution of various types of gardens,and puts forward the special historical environment when the style of the gardens in the Southern Song Dynasty was formed;in addition,the paper studies the location of Lin’an gardens in the Southern Song Dynasty mentioned in the ancient books.The second part classifies and arranges the Lin’an garden activities in the Southern Song Dynasty,and focuses on each garden in the Southern Song Dynasty.The third part analyzes the relationship between garden activities and urban development and the pattern of lakes and mountains in the Southern Song Dynasty from a macro perspective,focusing on four parts: West Lake Management,mountain forest transformation and urban greening,layout around the lake and landmark setting,and integration of urban parks.In the fourth part,from the close-up,the author analyzes the relationship between garden activities and garden construction from three aspects: function extension,creation skills and artistic conception.Based on the above findings,in the fifth part,it puts forward the supplement to the history of Chinese landscape architecture and the history of Hangzhou urban development,the restoration of the landscape relics of the Southern Song Dynasty in Hangzhou and the thinking of modern landscape activities.The greatest value of this study is to try to find out how the activities in the garden are related to the landscape construction and the lake and mountain pattern from the perspective of the participants,and to select the key activities to sort out the general complex relationship.
