Truss structures, chartered by flexible layouts, plentiful modeling, complexstructural systems, and various forms are wildly used in public buildings withlarge-spans. Conventional designing method cannot meet the requirements fromapplications in engineering, moreover, existing computer-aided design soft wares forstructure are lack of industry-specifics especially the post-processing in engineeringanalysis is not well supported. Started from characteristics of metal truss structure, thisthesis, focusing on its post-processing requirements in metal truss structure engineeringanalysis, made a further study on post-processing system and its key technology formetal truss structural engineering analysis, and developed the correspondingcomputer-aided post-processing system.First, a computer-aided post-processing overall programmer is proposed which isaimed to fit the truss structure characteristics and satisfy post-processing requirements.This programmer is based on AutoCAD graphics processing platform and comprises anour-level architecture that is user interface layer, interaction control layer, processinglayer analysis, and data-processing layer.Then, a further study on post-processing system and its key technology for metaltruss structural engineering analysis was conducted. The metal truss structure hasseveral advantages, such as simple and neat appearances, high precision assembly, andsmall welding deformation on tubular joint strength. In order to fulfill the purpose of thedesign and checking of truss structure tubular joints, a truss structure tubular joint sclassification method based on feature-fields. this method firstly analyze geometriccharacteristics of the truss engineering models, topological features and engineeringproperties, divide the tubular joint s of the metal truss structure into16kinds, and thenthe program according to each phase through nodes on the characteristics of thecorresponding design and checked. A tubular joints post-processing entity modelgeneration method is proposed to solve the rapid generation of truss structurepost-processing entity model, and tubular joints post-processing entity model which inrequired by developing construction drawings and entity model design. The method isbased on solid modeling theory and ObjectARX technology, be able to generate spacetubular joint s entity models of round pipe Intersecting, quadrate pipe intersecting, aswell as quadrate and circular pipe Intersecting. Through entering a few characteristic parameters following the dialog windows, engineering designers can have space tubularjoint s post-processing entity model generated quickly via automatically modeling.In the end, computer-aid analysis post-processing system for the metal trussstructure is developed, which is on the basis of above key technologies and AutoCADgraphics processing platform. The system has several features such as friendlyman-machine interface, easy to operate and powerful post-processing. It has achievedfavorable performance effects after its applications in a number of enterprises.
