The Research On Introducing The Method Of Architecture Event To The Contemporary Architecture Criticism Of China

Since the reform and opening-up policy was implemented, the economy of China experienced a rapid development of more than 30 years, while the construction industry of China also made great progress. However, this "boom" type of development also accompanied by a series of hidden dangers, one of which is the contemporary criticism on architecture of China is relative silent. This kind of situation of the contemporary criticism on architecture of China, on one hand is reflected in that the "quantity" of architecture criticism is not proportional to the construction amount of China today, on the other hand is reflected in that it lost the function to guide the contemporary construction activities of China. And we also should accept the reality that traditional professional architecture criticism of China, when facing some of the present building problems, may occurs the situation that it is impossible to explain this problems. These conditions have weakened the effectiveness of the contemporary criticism on architecture of China, which resulted in the healthy development of contemporary construction activities of China cannot be guaranteed.This paper targeted for the new CCTV headquarters building, its related events and the comments of it from various different groups of the society. This paper plans to analyze the CCTV new headquarters building by the method of architecture event, panoramic shows the situation that various different groups of the society comment on the specific architecture, and evaluates these comments one by one, trying to establish such a research model to provide a new method of evaluating the criticism to an architecture when we face the similar situation in the future.
