Study On Improving Assembly Efficiency About Automotive Tensioner

Lean production as an advanced production management way, is widely used inmodern manufacturing enterprise, the enterprise through implementing lean production toreduce production cost, improve production efficiency and shorten the production cycletime, improve product quality, so as to improve the competitiveness of enterprises. Leanproduction is process of pursuit of perfection, keeping improving production processwhere all the unreasonable, eliminate all none added value activities in enterprises, toimprove the productivity, eliminate the waste and continuous improvement.This thesis base on the Lean theories，adopt the technique method of IndustrialEngineering and Lean Manufacturing synthetically. According to the status of tensionerassembly workshop, identified the problems occurred in the manufacturing procedure,make and implement a set of lean production plan. Through the following sectionsresearch of how to improving production line’s production efficiency and increase the unitarea output in G company. First improving the process flow in the assembly workshop.using ECRS(Eliminate, Combine, Rearrange, and Simplify)and5W2H methods to reducechecking work, eliminate the unnecessary un-value added actions. Second, throughoptimizing operations and balancing assembly lines, improve the assembly balancingefficiency from57%to about83%. Third, in order to eliminate the chaos in logistics, theworkshop layout is amended to help for optimizing working produce. At same time, thestandard specification system insures the process is visible and in-time.Last, summarize the improvement result, and address the detailed method toimplement the CIP(Continuous Improvement Process), which is an important aspect ofLean Production.This study focuses on the use of Lean Production problem in the Company, whichcould provide guide for the implementation of Lean Production.
