Historical square is the carder of historical culture,which refined the continue anddevelopment of the culture,and it is a important resources.With the development ofurbanization in recently,the protection and renovation of historical square is sufferedfrom the challenges which never have been.This paper,based on the research of the current status of Qingdao Signal Hellstreet block,carries out a typology-based analysis of Qingdao Signal Hel historicalstreet block,and puts forth the typological solutions on the level of the street with aview to exploring the train of thought for the protection and renovation of QingdaoSignal Hel historical street block.Typology is a methodology,for the summary of differing types can reflect thehistorical authenticity of historical street block;the switch of types Can integrate thenew functions into the old parts;the spatial cascade,on the basis of keeping the originalspatial layout,forms a complete spatial network SO that it plays a new role in the newcity structure and social demands.Spatial structure and typeThe paper,based on the plot division and the analysis of the spatial structure aswell as the type of architecture,generalizes the basic structural features of Beijinghistorical residential street, which is the structural abstraction and a highlygeneralization of the complex spatial texture;meanwhile,it straightens out the spatialcomposition rules of the historical street by means of the stratified space research toabstract and protect the major elements influencing spatial evolution.This is a deepexcavation and protection of the historical street block,which provides a new point inthe protection and renovation of historical square....
