As the terminal equipment of cold chain logistics, commercial display cabinet are both functions of food refrigeration and sales, so it is the main component of food sales. With China’s economic prosperity and rapid development of logistics industry, as well as general improvement of living standards, the quality of refrigerated foods has also put forward to higher requirement. And with the accelerated pace of living, convenient, healthy, nutrient refrigerated foods are more loved by the people, refrigerated display cabinet is widely used in supermarket. Therefore, the commercial and refrigeration industry wish to design the refrigerated display cabinet of energy-saving and use of effective.Foods for sale process in the supermarket or convenience store, require to maintain the appropriate temperature. But the structure of refrigerated display cabinet and the flow direction of air curtain determine its temperature distribution uniformity. Some problems appear in the application, such as higher temperature led to food deterioration or storage period to shorten, etc.In this paper, the mathematical model of inside and outside air flow based on vertical refrigerated display cabinet was established. Its temperature field and velocity field by using CFD software were analyzed. The temperature field of a vertical refrigerated display cabinet was tested by experiment, and the main influence factors were analyzed. Finally, test results was consistent with theoretical calculations, which proved the reliability of simulation. This study also found that the temperature field and velocity field of vertical refrigerated display cabinet were related to the environmental temperature and humidity, outlet shape of air curtain, supply air temperature and velocity besides its structure type.The environmental temperature and humidity had great influence on vertical refrigerated display cabinet, which proposed temperature25℃and relative humidity of60%for the best, and the environmental temperature was less than27℃, the relative humidity was below70%. Supply air temperature and velocity of air curtain were important for temperature and stable operation in the vertical refrigerated display cabinet. The supply air temperature was set according to the constant temperature in cabinet. The supply air velocity in1.0~1.1m/s was suitable. In addition, the appropriate number and arrangement of backpanel outlet could reduce its longitudinal temperature gradient.The research results provided references for the optimization design of vertical refrigerated display cabinet’s structure and the reasonable design of air curtain as well as energy-saving operation.
