As a new form of space structure system, beam string structure has applied inmany large public buildings. At present, seismic performance of beam string structureis still not mature, especially in the aspect of bi-directional beam string structure.Finite element analyses on the principle of the prestressed value, vibrationcharacteristics and the characteristics of earthquake response were discussedsystematically using the FEM software ANSYS for numerical simulation in thispaper,taking the method of time-procedure analysis as the theoretical basic. First, thevibration characteristics of bi-directional beam string structure model were analyzed.Second, choose two typical seismic waves recorded by strong earthquakes and analyzeof the impact of the supporting frame, boundary condition and traveling wave effect onthe seismic response of the bi-directional beam string structure, throughsingle-dimensional earthquake. Last, input multidimensional earthquake to the overallstructure,which considers the supporting frame, study the seismic response regularityand the contribution of different seismic to the seismic response through compared tothe single-dimensional seismic input.By the above calculation and analysis, the seismic response regularity of thebi-directional beam string structure is revealed in this paper, which considers the upperand lower structures working together, to provide a reference for the seismic design ofbi-directional beam string structure.
