The mode of production the door manufacturing enterprise has adopted is masscustomization, the requirements about the specification, material, color, style isbecoming more and more diverse and characteristic. In the face of the fierce marketcompetition and the customized level of door products raising, the key to gain thecompetitiveness is how to configure, design the products the customers required andrespond to the market changes swiftly. At present, the problems of the poor designquality and the long design period exist in the door manufacturing enterprises. Theconfiguration design is one primary technique of the product design. Combing the CBRtechnology with the extension design theory, the paper does research on theconfiguration design technique of the door manufacturing enterprise.Firstly, the thesis introduces the background and the research status about therelated theory from domestic and abroad which was summarized and analyzed. Then,the meaning of the research is illustrated.Secondly, the production mode, extension configuration design theory, the designfeatures and issues of the door manufacturing enterprise is presented. Aiming to doormanufacturing enterprise, the model of product extension configuration design is putforward. Based on the model, the working process of the product design is described.Besides, the generation methods of product extension configuration design in thedoor manufacturing enterprise are studied. The paper analyses the characteristic of thecustomers’ requirements, classifying the orders and the means of information expressing.The two-stage QFD is constructed from the demand characteristics of customers toproduct, module/part features so that the product expectation matter-element,module/parts matter-element are obtained. Furthermore, it makes further study on theretrieval method. The two-stage retrieval method combining similarity-BPNN andextension distance similarity-KNN to narrow the solution space step by step. Accordingto the relation element, the design schemes are assessed. What is more, theincompatibility problems existing in the optimal configuration design scheme are solvedby the extension modification strategy.Then, the anti-theft door product extension configuration design system wasdesigned and developed. In addition, the system architecture, detailed design andimplementation procedure of the system was stated. Finally, the thesis achievement was applied and tested on the anti-theft doorproduct extension configuration design in the Chongqing XXX door manufacturingenterprise.
