Mass Customization Under Product Configuration Design The Study And Application Of The Technology

Mass Customization (MC) has been an important manufacture mode ininformation times. Mass Customization aims at providing customizedproducts with efficiency and cost of mass production. It is acustomer-centered producing strategy providing varieties of product tomeet different requirements, Product Configuration (PC) in MassCustomization plays an important role in managing product data, reusingexisted resources, and improving customized products' developingability and efficiency. The key thought of this peper is on the methodof Product Configuration. This research not only has important valuein theory, but also gains fine effects in practice.In the first chapter, the paper describes the evolution ofmanufacture mode and it's necessity of Mass Customization. This chapterintroduces the function of Product Configuration in Mass Customization.the paper analyses the origin of Mass Customization, development andthe current situation. Finally, the author points out the deficiencyof current research and presents the main content of article.In the second chapter, the paper studies commonly used design method,and analyses the design of module in detail. The article introduces theprocess of design in Mass Customization, describes two types of design:product configuration design and product variable structure design.In the third chapter, the author analyzed the theory of MassCustomization and the construction approaches for configurationknowledge base. The article analyses the definition and structure ofbill of materisls. Double-layer separative BOM structure is presented,which optimizes the storage of product data, improving the operationefficiency of system.In the forth chapter, the paper analyses the active model of productconfiguration design, and flow chart of product configuration designis given. The article studies the rules of product configurationmodeling, a product configuration model is put forward based on atransformable structure of product family, and its implementign isgiven.In the fifth chapter, the paper mainly discusses the realization technology of Mass Customization, system framework, key modules and soon. Combining the developed software system and application result inenterprises, this chapter talks about the content of productsconfiguration.In the last chapter, the paper summarizes the research result ofthe product configuration design for Mass Customization and Application.The innovation points of the paper are discussed. At last, the authorprospected the research direction of Mass Customization productconfiguration and design in future.
