Research Of The Product Configration Design Method For Mass Customization Based On Extension Theory

The Mass Customization is a kind of production model that provide customized product for user with batch-manufacture efficiency. It attempts to merge volume-producing and customizing on a large scale together to realize the individuation product. Supported by National Science Foundation of China and National High-Tech Research and Development Program of China ("863"), the configuration design method is researched with extension theory.At first, the paper introduces the appearance of Mass Customization (MC), summarizes the technology of product modeling under the MC condition and the research actuality.
