China construction industry has entered a new development period of both buildingand repair renovation. Since the Wen chuan earthquake the norm group adjusted regionalseismic fortification intensity level, and a large number of structures do not meet currentseismic standards, in particular masonry buildings of certain historical value needs ofproper reinforcement and transformation. At the same time, the seismic design ofstructures has been developed to a performance-based seismic design stage, so it isnecessary to analysis the performance-based reinforcement of existing masonry structuresand structural optimization problems in depth.Based on evaluation of the seismic performance, one masonry building structure offive Worker buildings in Tianxing instrument factory is been analyzed, by using theperformance of the seismic design theory, the masonry structure itself and steelreinforcement measures to improve the structure seismic performance level of beneficialeffect has been analyzed, And the structural components in the reinforcement andmechanical properties after reconstruction measures has been researched.Specifically, the main contents are as follows:(1) on the basis of the test and masonry structure seismic assessment, thecharacteristics of the earthquake deformation and destruction energy index of theperformance is been analyzed to evaluate the structural seismic performance, which isapplicable for brick masonry structure, and through this method, the main componentand the overall seismic performance is evaluated, the conclusion is drawn that thisstructure to seismic strengthening.(2) The specific components identified for the specific purpose of reinforcement,concrete reinforcement methods were selected to analyze the mechanical properties ofreinforced structures to improve. And on this basis, the overall structure ofreinforcement through the optimal design of reinforcement to determine the overallstructure.
