Urban comprehensive passenger terminal is the key to the urban passenger t ransport system which bears important functions such as the convergence of the various m odes of transportation, completing the distribution and evacuation of the passenger flow and ensuring a smooth travel of residents. As a result, it plays a pivotal role to the efficient ope ration of railway passenger station. The planning and whether the design is reasonable or no t of transfer system is directly related to the smoothness and portable extent to the passenge r travel, the interface with a variety of transport modes, as well as functions into full play, and railway transport and urban public transport efficiency and operational effectiveness. The number of passenger attracted by the terminal and rate of all transport modes i s the basis of determination on the scale of architecture and facilities, also affect the number of vehicles arranged in terminal. Optimization on layout and traffic flow in terminal shortens passenger’s transfer distance and time, improves transfe r environment and efficiency. The extent of influence by variety of factors on ur ban comprehensive passenger terminal must be performed by comprehensive valu ation. Accordingly, the thesis makes some researches as following:(1) After learning research results at home and abroad in the terminal area of the layo ut and comprehensive transfer, and summing up a common rail transfer system design metho d, it proposes the system-building goals to the transfer system for railway development in th e current situation and the actual transportation environment.(2) Improved the multiple linear regression model, applied Partial Least-Squa res Regression in predicting passenger quantity, improved the multiple correlation s between variables.(3) During the process, the utility function of various transfer methods has been studied in the passenger traffic assignment model of transfer mode. In the function passenger flow model is built from the optimal point of the view of t-he entire transfer system and a comprehensive cost for passenger travel respectiv-ely to provide solving methods and processes. Take South Railway Station of Be ijing for an example, we should analyze transfer time, transfer distance, and the affection transfer costs on the transfer rate of passenger traffic share.(4) As to transfer interface organization and system optimization, the thesis researches the layout forms of the passenger station and urban rail transit, which are also analyzed their advantages and disadvantages and applicability, and studi es the form of public transport network and site layout; Then analyses the coord ination among the transfer facilities’capacity and the organizational politics of th e terminal; In addition a service model made between the public vehicles and n umber of parking place is proposed;(5) the thesis integrates improved models and methods with terminal of Beij ing South Station.Finally, this paper summarizes the research work and research results of the full text, and further research area was proposed.
