With the rapid development of science and technology, the requirement is higher and higher in vehicle performance. The ride comfort and handling stability of vehicle has become the important reference factor when the people selective purchasing vehicle. The suspension system is important vehicle system influencing these two factors. The main role of suspension is transferring the longitudinal force, vertical force and lateral force and the torque to the vehicle frame, ensuring that the car can be normal running in different pavement and different driving condition. Suspension not only affects the ride comfort and handling stability of vehicle, but also has major influence of through and adhesion performance, this becomes an important topic in the research of automobile. So the traditional non-independent suspension can hardly meet people’s special demands. The independent suspension has become the important reference orientation. So, this paper researches dynamics simulation and analysis of the independent suspension system. The main research contents are as follows:(1) select the leaf spring of the suspension system as the object analyzed. Calculate the maximum load and maximum stress of front leaf spring when the automobile brakes by the theoretical calculation. Establishes the leaf spring model by analytical software, for loading the maximum load stress and analyses the maximum stress through the software. We can compare the finite element analysis and the theoretical calculation. The paper provides basis and suggestion for improvement of leaf spring.(2) build the double wishbone front suspension in the ADAMS software. Through the wheel bouncing simulation, analytic and study the important characteristic of the front suspension, such as camber angle, wheel rate, roll center height, provide the improvement of suspension system dynamics performance. Analysis the model by revising the hard point position, make suggestions for improvement of the double wishbone front suspension.(3) build vehicle simulation model in the ADAMS software, analysis the influence of the independent suspension. This vehicle simulation model includes front and rear suspension, front and rear wheels, steering system and vehicle (rigid or flexible) four subsystems as well as brake subsystem, powertrain system. Analysis the model by revising the hard point position, reach the influence of vehicle.(4) design test of suspension in the ADAMS/Insight software. Firstly, carry on a simple wheel run out simulation of suspension model for the experimental design to prepare. Definite the three coordinate of tierod_outer as a design element, use toe_angle_objective as the response. Experimental design, appraise and statistical analysis the performance of the prototype, provide the basis of suspension in the analysis and simulation.
