As China’s social and economic development, the standard of official vehicles management, and the growing demand for small business coach at all levels of the government, army, large enterprises, public transportation and institutions, and tourism, the small high-end domestic bus has become an important bus which mainstream bus manufactory developed.This paper based on the design and development project of independent air suspension for high-end domestic bus in 7.3 meters. First of all, independent air suspension with virtual king and double wishbone structure, has be chose to become front suspension, by analyzed the characteristics of different structural types of the existing air suspension. And according to the characteristics of the double wishbone independent suspension, determined the suspension’s locating type, structure size, the reasonable wheel alignment parameters and the structure of the parts. Then, through the calculation and analysis, such as frequency offset, roll stiffness, lateral angle, the minimum turning radius etc., proved that the suspension performance can meet the design requirements in theory. And make sure that the impact design of the steering knuckle assembly and the steering knuckle arm is reasonable, by used the software named “SOLIDWORKS”, and according to the analysis under the limited condition. And then using the software named “ADAMS”, make sure that the function of suspension is reasonable, by analyzing the curve of the front wheel orientation parameters versus against the wheel jumping. Finally, proved that the vehicle has good operating performance and fatigue strength, which of meeting the design requirements, by the Handling and stability’s testing and the bench testing for fatigue strength. In summary, this paper has provided some theoretical guidance and reference for the development of the domestic buses, which are between 7 and 8 meters, and improved the level of domestic technology in our country the business bus.
