Modern logistics development demands seamless link of container rail-road combined transportation. Based on the requirements of seamless link, this article uses a combination of qualitative and quantitative analysis method, primary studies the coordinating organization of connection operation between rail and road in the railway container center station. First, focus the research on the convergence process between handling equipment and railway container flat cars. Second, after the allocation of handling equipments, takes the connection organization between container truck and handling equipments as research priorities. Based on which the seamless link of rail-road combined transportation will be realized. This article has the following key research works.First, study on the configuration of handling equipment. For the purpose of coordination convergence between railway container flat cars and handling equipments, the article established a bi-objective optimization model that in order to reduce the daily cost of handling equipments and shortening the time of railway container flat car (cars) in loading and unloading line to get the optimal number of handling equipment and the number of loading and unloading line with the MEACO arithmetic. A numerical study testified validity of the model.Second, study on the coordination joint of handling equipments and trucks.Building a minimum connection operation cost model to set the best interval time and number of truck. The example proved that the conclusion of this model can realize the seamless connection of rail-road combined transportation.
