With the development of scientific technology, people’s living standards aregradually increasing, the quality and safety of food are facing more and more highrequirements, and then Refrigeration and air conditioning industry has made rapiddevelopment. Refrigeration and air conditioning industry is a large family of powerconsumption in China. In the increasing tense situation of resources today, how toeffectively save resources is the primary problem for the building of cold storage toconsider.As an underground building, building underground cold storage is a kind ofeffective way to exploit underground space. Compared with on ground cold storage,there are many advantages in building underground cold storage, such as economicaluse of land, less consumption of building materials, basically having no influencefrom atmospheric climate fluctuation, and having good thermal stability in warehouse.However, compare with on ground cold storage, there are many differences forbuilding underground cold storage in site selection, civil work, heat preservation anddaily maintenance, and so on.This thesis firstly discussed the site selection and design problem of Aunderground cold storage. Cold storage with reasonable site selection can effectivelyimprove the construction efficiency, save energy consumption in the operationprocess, and increase economic efficiency. A underground cold storage project is aresearch and exploration in our country with lack of experience in terms of the actualconstruction and no perfect construction theory. As an engineering project, Aunderground cold storage project was built in the northern region. Buried about5meters, with1meter thick soil layer on top of it, the cold storage is used for storageof frozen meat, vegetables and fruit. Surrounding rock geological is suitable for theconstruction of underground cold storage, and site location meets the designspecification of cold storage. Because the soil contains moisture, it is easily to frost heave for the underground cold storage because of the low temperature effect. Thethesis analyzes the advantages and disadvantages of several design schemes ofbuilding envelope. At last design schemes of using thermal insulation layer is chosen,there is a thermal insulation layer between building envelope and thermal insulatinglayer. Floor choice the design scheme of thermal insulating layer combined with theair layer. Through optimal design, the choice of refrigeration equipment is to meet theneed of cold storage load and let operation consumption in minimum standard.The thesis discusses the operation management and maintenance of A coldstorage underground. In refrigeration engineering project, operation management andmaintenance of the cold storage is the key to ensure the safe operation of the coldstorage, recovery cost and earn the economic benefits. From the point of projectmanagement, and using engineering technology method, the thesis do some researchon staff requirements, building envelope maintenance, the maintenance of equipmentoperation, automation system maintenance, etc.The thesis studies the automatic control system and the management system of Aunderground cold storage. The automatic control system is using to the automaticcontrol for the refrigeration equipment, and the thesis discuss its design from threeparts, the operation parameters monitor, safety protection and integrated processcontrol. The management system of cold storage is using to operating management,production process management and into shipping management of warehouse. Thethesis discusses the optimal design and operation problems of A underground coldstorage. Several problems will be studied, such as the influence of soil temperaturefluctuations on the compressor choice of the cold storage, fluorine defrosting of coldstorage, comprehensive analysis of cold storage refrigeration system. All of theseresearches are conducive to the operation management of cold storage, savingmanpower, and reducing energy consumption.
