Based on the consideration of the exhausting of fossil resource and the protection of the environment, besides, provide power depends on power grid only exist safety limitation. Distributed generation with the feature of low energy consumption, clean environment and flexible power supply has been used widely in recent years. But for random uncontrollable sources, it is complex to control.To integrate the advantages of distributed generation, coordinate distributed power and the power system, microgrid was proposed. Microgrid is a medium or low voltage power grid combined with variety of small, distributed generation and energy storage to provide electricity for the local load. The distributed generations’diversity and flexibility make the microgrid allocation and operation optimization very complicated. How to achieve the optimal allocation of microgrid, energy management and operation scheduling, there are still urgent need to resolve the problem.So, development and study the optimal allocation and operation theory of the microgrid will be very necessary.This thesis analyzes the principle and operational characteristics of micro turbines, photovoltaic cells, wind turbines and fuel cells, extensive literature reference is given a variety of distributed generation operating costs and emissions model. Considering the costs and loss of micro-power optimization configuration mathematical model, a hierarchical particle swarm optimization using multi-objective optimization method on the impact of distributed generation configuration on the microgrid is proposed. The first layer optimize the power loss based on the flow calculation to determine the optimal installation location of distributed generation. The second layer optimize the annual cost of distributed generation, searching for the optimal capacity and type of distributed generations Finally, as an example of a30-node system, verify the validity of the model and algorithm.Based on the optimal designed microgrid system, the thesis further proposed microgrid optimal operation of the power grid mathematical model, to run the lowest cost, the minimum network loss and carbon emissions minimum as the goal. First of all were solved a single objective scheduling of the microgrid operation strategy using PSO respectively. Then based on multi-objective low carbon scheduling model, using an improved method of ideal points, get the power grid low carbon scheduling operation strategy. Finally, the single objective and multi-objective optimization operation strategy are compared and analyzed in detail, and summarizes the multi-objective low carbon optimization scheduling strategy’s advantages.There is a certain theoretical significance and reference value of the research work carried out planning and design of microgrid and energy management.
